Week of June 12

This week was the film festival. It was full of good videos. When people seemed to be interested and also seemed to like the films was great it made the work for film worth more. My hands down favorite film was The Wing Man and I think it should be in the evening film festival. I expected the narrative films to be a bit better. The PSA's were good however I don't know why but I didn't really like them.

Week of May 29th

This week Julia and I finished with the effects needed in the film including, a splatter of blood, bugs crawling up the face, and fire rising. Today, Friday, we should be finished with editing and I can begin doing the explosion sequence for the film festival. The film festival was great and I thought taking a picture with Danny Woodburn was amazing. The festival was great and the film with the pen and the psychoanalysis on were my favorites along with the first drama.

Week of May 22nd

This week we filmed all the scenes needed for the PSA. Julia and I are in the progress of editing some of the footage in after effects. We are planning to film our music video during this weekend, I do not know if it is a for sure thing. Yesterday i began putting the clips in iMovie however we still need to finish editing in after effects.

Week of May 15th

We planned on filming over the weekend but someone forgot to check out a certain item we needed. Someone used garageband to go over the music we are going to use in the film. On Friday I continued on trying to make an intro for our production name. The rest of the week when there was no AP exams to take we focused on learning after effects for the editing we are going to do in the next film.

week of may 8th

This week we finished our storyboards. The days i was there i was working on learning after effects. We are trying to learn to add effects to our PSA and maybe learn to make an intro.

Week of April 24th

The film was finally finished 100% with the new shots. We are beginning to try and learn to use after effects for our third film. We discussed some of the scenes for our second film about a "hero".

Week of April 17th

This week we were able to get the final clips needed done. For the editing we had technical issues with clips starting to freeze at certain points of the film. We were able to fix this with your help and when it happened again when we needed to cut some clips out and replace them with new clips we knew how to fix it. All that was left was adding credits and intros. On Thursday we were able to finish the film and editing. Today on Friday we will have showed you our film.

Week of April 10th

This week we recorded some scenes that didn't come out good the first time around. The following day we rerecorded those scenes because there was a mistake with the camera person stopping the camera when it was needed and playing when it wasn't so we got a lot of unneeded footage. That same day some went out to film during the class period. Some clips were put in but in total the film took about five minutes. So yesterday I began to cut some scenes or make them shorter. Audio was exported to make the scene seem more secluded than it actually. There was chirping by birds that we cut from the exported audio and left in the film. Overall we should be done within the next two weeks, however if things go well we should be done my next week friday or Thursday. Hopefully the acting is on point and the shots are good

Week of April 3,2015

During this week we went to go shoot at the library in the Bell city library, failed because apparently there is a form needed to be sent to ask for permission and it takes about a week to get a response. So what was done was that we switched filming to the school library. We filmed the next day, or the day after, the scenes of Julia and John. It was done in a day. I began to edit the film on Thursday and got a minute and a half done for sure. Over the weekend the group is planning to finish filming the rest of the scenes we have left over. We have agreed upon a new idea for a comedic superhero music video (not our own music). It begins with people sympathizing with the character. Then the character turns into a superhero and "fights crime". We are thinking of shooting this film at the citadel.

March 27, 2015

In my film production group there are six people, Julia, Leslie, Gisela, Ramon, John Paul, and myself. We decided to call our production company Baesic productions. We decided for our first film to be a comedic mockumentary. It is about how student are beginning to study earlier and earlier for SAT's/AP's as well as preparing to got to college. So far we have written most of the script as well as the storyboards to go along with the script. John and I are the ones doing the storyboards and Ramon, Leslie, Gisela, and Julia are focusing on the screenplay. We know who is going to appear in the film, so our actors. Our actors include some kids Gisela is going to bring for the parts of the little kids being interviewed, John is going to be the scientist proposing the scientific study. Today we plan on going to the bell local library and filming a few interviewing scenes set in the library.

What Music Means to Me

Music means a lot to everyone. To me it's a way of blocking out the world and getting inside my own thoughts see what my mind will wander through when there's nothing but music. Music helps to relax me no matter what type of music it is as long as it gets my attention. I don't really pick favorites when it comes to music and the reason is really simple. Taste in music well at least for me changes from one song to the next. I could like a song one minute and then realize I should've pushed dislike, but then a few months or weeks later I could like that song again. The same can go for artists I will think this new artist is the greatest, but eventually I really just don't care for that music anymore. There is always exceptions though some artists you will listen to forever because they keep becoming your favorite when you cycle back to them in the music genres. Few of those for me include The Beatles, Linkin Park (because of the nostalgia), and Louis Armstrong. Louis Armstrong is the most recent mostly because I noticed his music in Disney films a year ago (thanks to an app) and it has been key in relaxing me lately. I always though always, at least two times a year go back to Linkin Park and The Beatles.

Struggles

High School students face many troubles throughout, well, high school. Most students, every person has that O' snap moment that makes them wonder about what they are going to do in the future, who are they gonna be. It can make them subconsciously question their identity. This can result in what everybody calls a phase. The struggle of knowing who you are and who you're going to be can create an identity crisis. It usually occurs in high school because it's a place where they ask what do you want to be when you grow up, what are you going to do when you graduate, are you going to go to a college or university. The barrier separating under and over age is eighteen and it makes everything worse, but it's necessary. During their "phase" people start to adventure their tastes, what is more palatable to them. In the end though they get an answer and they are able to answer all those questions, but it's a struggle to get their.

The Most Interesting Person in the World

Who is the most interesting person in the world? Some  might know people close to them that they could just listen to for hours, but I don't know anyone like that. If I were to assume who might be a really interesting person, I would say the most interesting person could be Theodore Roosevelt. From all the stuff I've heard about well known people, he must've been the most interesting. From Roosevelt having pet bears at the white house to actually have had a boxing ring in the white house, this person is really interesting. His ideology of being nice but still having the power to fight is great. "Speak softly and carry a big stick". If he were alive today I would ask him who had influenced him to get into politics, how it felt to be betrayed by Taft, the person who he trusted to continue his ideology as a president, who persuaded him to becoming a conservative, and where did he get his ideology from? This is the most interesting president I could think of and it makes the him the most interesting person. It would have been an honor to have had met him.

My Anti Drug

Whenever I am feeling stressed out and need to relax I do one of three things. The one I do most often is play video games on the easiest difficulty. It allows me to relax and just have fun playing instead of stressing me out even more to try and beat a level on a higher difficulty. If I do not feel like playing video games I get my phone plug in some ear phones and I listen to music while laying down on my bed. I drift off to sleep or I just listen and listen and listen to music until I decide to stop, get up, and do something. If I don't feel like playing video games and I can't find my phone or I am too lazy to get it, or the ear phones, I go outside with my dogs and I just toss the ball for them the dogs to fetch it. I also take the dogs out for a run when they wear down the ball. If somehow none of these relieves me from stress and relaxes me I simply lie down on my bed and think until I fall asleep, I have only done this a very few amount of times.

An Inconvenient Truth

An Inconvenient Truth really helped to open my eyes to all the problems global warming could cause and how we are increasing its time of arrival to where we won't be able to live anymore. The greenhouse gases kept inside our atmosphere could melt antarctica, and if it does only a chunk needs to be melted the size of Greenland in order for water levels to rise twenty feet; that being said, if Greenland melts it would also rise water levels by twenty feet. Half of each can also result in the same effect. In the film all locations that would be flooded were shown. New York would lose a lot of its coast and ground zero, the area where the twin towers once stood would be completely flooded and in Florida much of its coastline would be underwater. In Asia there is an enormous amount of flooding that could occur. The amount of land that would be lost would be disastrous. Climate change would also effect the occurrences of natural disasters. That could spell out another hurricane like hurricane Katrina. In the atlantic there was a sort of water way that if stopped by the arctic or by greenland melting could cause a sort of ice age to the countries east of it like Britain, Spain, Ireland, etc. The possible results of global warming are frightening.
